Summer 2018: EPIC!

3 countries. 7 cities. Not a single day off work. Can you believe it? A summer of all work and all play too? Sounds improbable but I found out itโ€™s completely possible, because I did it; this was my summer. The way holiday works in Denmark is a bit different to what Iโ€™m used to and essentially I hadnโ€™t worked for long enough to take paid vacation. But then Jesus. Literally, the Big G came through in a massive way. First there was the Northside Festival here in Aarhus, then the World Cup began, then I went to see Beyonce and Jay Z in Copenhagen, visited friends in Switzerland, discovered Hans Christian Andersen in Odense, celebrated my birthday, went surfing in Cold Hawaii and rounding off the international summer activities by attending my friendโ€™s Ghanaian wedding in London, capped off with a fabulous themed afternoon tea date.

As far as summers go, this has probably been my best one in recent years. Thatโ€™s a pretty big statement given that I went into it not having any plans and actually dreading it a little, especially in light of my allergies. I was just hoping it would go by quickly enough so I could get to when I could take some time off later this year. Oh the irony. In the end, I didnโ€™t want it to end at all. Iโ€™m yet to post all my trip reports and travel stories because frankly, I am still trying to cling to the last of summer and continue to enjoy the last moments of it as much as possible. It really has been epic. Some of the best bits of the summer are not out there in the social sphere; those memories are just for me and my friends and family. But even though I have not been so regular on the blog posting front, I have tried to keep things up on the gram. So follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with my adventures with Grace. And in the meantime, I will get to finishing off the various draft posts and edit all the pics so I can get to posting and sharing with you. Till then, here are a few snaps from the epic summer that was Summer 2018. What did you get up to this summer? Share in the comments!
