Swiss getaway – First impressions

I was in Switzerland last weekend to see a friend and my-oh-my, was it a joy! I’ve never been to Switzerland and for some reason, it’s never really featured on my travel bucket list. No idea why, but now I had a reason to go. Catching up with friends is always awesome but doing it in a new locale is just the icing on the cake. The land of great chocolate, watches, ski resorts, Swiss Family Robinson and tax exiles alike, I had all these preconceptions about Switzerland but being there, experiencing it was so different to what I imagined. I was staying in Geneva but also got to visit Bern, Aarberg and Murten and I will be sharing my thoughts on all of ‘em so don’t go anywhere. Yes, I know that it’s been a while. And yes, I said I wanted to get back to regular posting but it just didn’t happen. And I can’t really pinpoint the reason why. Nothing big happened. No drama, no big life events, no particular work overload or any of those other usual suspects…just life as usual here. I’ve been living life but haven’t quite got round to documenting it. Hopefully, this last weekend has sparked a fresh burst of inspiration and drive to get back to sharing the tales of Bids and Grace’s adventures on the road. So let’s see how we do!
