Springtime best: Comfy dressing

If there’s one thing that the Danes are known for, it’s the concept of “hygge”. There really isn’t any direct translation into English but I guess the closest word to it is “cosy”. Yep, Danes are famous all over the world for this idea of cosy living. I’ve tried to immerse myself into that cosy, comfy living concept and that has prompted a real shift in my wardrobe and styling. It’s funny because I was saying to a friend recently that it’s like I have two personalities – Naija Bids and Euro Bids. Naija Bids is super girly and wears heels and sandals and all that ish. Euro Bids is practical, maybe even a little edgy and all about the androgynous look. These days I’m more likely to be wearing trainers than heels. In fact, I think I only brought one pair of heels to Denmark and I have yet to wear them. Trainers are practical and cute and also, ugly “Dad” trainers are super fashionable right now. Comfy dressing doesn’t necessarily mean no styling effort. The sun coming out this past weekend was the perfect opportunity to break out my new rainbow Ray Bans and team them with these cute abstract earrings from ASOS. And I’ve just been dying for a chance to take this raffia bag out for a spin. How’s this for comfy, cosy chic? Whatcha think?Wearing: Jumper – Monki; Jeans – Madewell; Sunnies – Ray Ban; Trainers – Nike; Earrings – ASOS
