It’s so weird to think that not too long ago I didn’t really have that many ankara (the popular West African wax print fabric) fashion items. Not because I didn’t like ankara, but simply because I couldn’t think of what designs to make using it and frankly I wasn’t sure it suited me. Fast forward a couple of years and it seems like my wardrobe is full of ankara. The secret is to get good quality fabrics and a good tailor. Then it’s plain sailing ahead!
