You know we love a good resolution around here. This year, I lost control.
Instead of a neat little list of goals, I somehow ended up with 50 things I really want to do in 2026. Fifty. Five-Zero.
Some of these plans are deep. Others are deeply unserious. Some are aspirational. Others are pure vibes.
We don’t have to call them “resolutions.” Let’s call them plans, intentions, experiments, and things I’d like to try before the year humbles me.
Anyway… here’s the list.

Faith & Grounding
1. Pray more — actively seek God in everything
2. Go to church regularly (2025 was my best year since moving to Denmark… don’t be impressed, bar’s been in hell for the past few years)
3. Volunteer more — starting with church
Health, Movement & Energy
4. Commit to a realistic, injury-friendly workout routine (3x/week)
– Pilates
– Swimming
– And one other thing that won’t humble me unnecessarily
5. Improve my swimming skills — no more vibes-only swimming (what about my hair though???)
6. Cycle more — first, I need a bike though. Still not over my bike that was stolen…
7. Go to sleep earlier
8. Stop snoozing my alarm — i.e. just get up the first time
9. Take my supplements consistently, not just when I remember they exist

Career, Money & Adulting
10. Do excellent work, grow professionally, and earn more money
11. Network more — big ewwwww, but necessary
12. Follow Danish news like someone who actually lives here
13. Sell more stuff on Vinted
14. Buy less. Buy better.
15. Make more conscious spending decisions — basically try to ensure my money doesn’t support genocide
16. Build a “vex money” fund (12–18 months of living costs) – cos life can come at you sooooooo fast!
17. Save enough to survive a “reorg” without panic-refreshing LinkedIn
18. Optimise my tax without ending up in jail – because SKAT #iykyk
19. Invest in future me — executive education, courses, all that jazz
Creativity, Learning & Curiosity
20. Watch more Yoruba, French, and Danish films/shows to improve my language skills
(may my brain not explode)
21. Read more books — aiming for at least one every two months
22. Learn legwork and the choppa-style twerk – I MUST pepper you people!!!!!!!!!!!!
23. Try out video content — I hate that I typed this, but it’s here now so hold me accountable!
24. Do a puzzle

Style, Beauty & Self-Expression
WARNING – This next section is where the DELUSION really hit me!
25. Declutter my home
26. Wear brighter colours — EVEN in Copenhagen
27. De-beigify my wardrobe (enough with the neutrals — especially beige, abeg)
28. Wear more adire — skirts, trousers, dresses…wait, wasn’t I supposed to buy less?
29. Wear everything in my wardrobe that still has a tag on it — otherwise sell it or give it away (no excuses!!)
30. Buy less skincare & fragrance — replacements only, no emotional-support purchases …(clearly I’m lying to myself because the delusion is so heavy on this one!)
31. Avoid buying any lipsticks this year (because I have fifty million and I hardly ever wear lipstick because I’m a lip balm queen)
32. Learn how to do a proper cat-eye
33. Explore Botox — research phase only for now
34. Stick to my routine for 8–12 weeks before changing anything
35. Focus on barrier health over “results”
36. Stop buying backups of backups of backups of products – stockpiling queens gather here, let’s reform our ways together
37. Treat skincare like maintenance, not a personality trait (I know. I know!)
Joy, Relationships & Main-Character Energy
38. Laugh more and actively choose joy
39. Be more spontaneous
40. Be more audacious
41. Be more petty – don’t try me o!
42. Spend less time on my phone
43. Go days without headphones or AirPods — actually listen to the world around me
44. FaceTime my niece & nephews more — even if they kick me off after one minute
45. Cultivate good relationships with my local businesses — we should be besties (or at least know each other’s names)
46. Cook more Nigerian dishes
47. Keep my windowsill herb garden alive (Maybe if I sing to my basil and coriander, they’ll stick around)
48. Romanticise at least one completely normal errand a week (laundry, grocery shopping, picking up deliveries)
49. Go somewhere alone without documenting it
50. Dance in my living room like I’m rehearsing for a world tour
BONUS | Start my resolutions when it makes sense to me. It’s already mid-January, and anyway, I don’t fully get into the year until February. So it is what it is.
Now tell me — what are YOUR plans for 2026?
