Hola people, how’s your summer going? I must say that, apart from a couple of rainy days, Copenhagen has been SUMMERING. I’m talking sunshine, no jackets, no scarves. Just skin-out toes-out sun-hat weather on repeat and I’m so here for it. It’s been a minute since I did a “Finds” post so I figured it’s high time I shared some of the things I have been loving lately this summer. Here we go (contains some affiliate links below):
Dye Lab | I will admit I am super late to the Dye Lab party, but at least I finally showed up! I picked up two pairs of their bottoms in May while I was in Nigeria, and I swear I have been living in them ever since. Living guys, I cannot get enough of them. I present to you Exhibit A and Exhibit B. You guys are going to be SO sick of these trousers and I don’t care! They are not exactly low-key and yet they go with everything as easily as a crisp white linen shirt…with a little spice. I can’t wait to pick up more next time I get the chance.
This Hyaluronic Acid Essence | This essence has been working overtime in keeping my face moisturised and supple. It’s the first hyaluronic acid serum I can confidently use during the day that isn’t tacky and doesn’t pill when I apply SPF and make up on top of it. And speaking of SPFs…
This SPF | This SPF is the SPF to end all SPFs – for me anyway. The way I love it! Lightweight, so very moisturising, absorbs quickly into my skin and most importantly, does not leave a white cast. It’s also cheap as chips when compared to other decent SPFs on the market.
Linen Co-ords | We all love a good linen shirt for summer, but right now it’s all about the linen co-ord for me. Maybe it’s the Nigerian in me that loves a good “up and down”, especially in a colour other than white, black or beige. I got a gorgeous set from Nathanielles – if you’re in Nigeria, run and grab yours. Just saying.
TEVA Sandals | both the original and slim versions. They are so polarising in my circle – some of my friends and my sister HATE them but I love them for me – especially these ones! They are still the most comfortable sandals I own. If you’re after sandals that still give some comfort but are also guaranteed compliment magnets, get these Maje ones instead.
My MAC Studio Fix powder and Pat McGrath Under Eye Powder Combo | the dynamic duo out here saving my face and dignity this summer. Makeup in summer is more of a dream than reality for me (thank you allergies!) but this combo keeps things simple and cute with a little polish and a little pressure.
This Facial Spray | How—HOW—have I only just discovered this cooling miracle mist??????? In the hellfire heat of summer, this spray is a necessity. Get it. Thank me later.
Peche Mirage | It’s dark, mysterious and a little…weird… thanks to the leather note. But I love it. The price? Not so much, but it’s still the scent of the summer for me. When I want something that is more of a universal crowd pleaser, I reach for Donna Born in Roma instead – always a hit.
Odeal | He is the soundtrack to my summer. To be fair, he has been the soundtrack to my 2025 actually. The Summer That Saved Me is on repeat right now. Even when he’s just a feature (like on Mwah), he completely destroys the track. #obsessed!
