2024 – A Year in Review

It feels like a cliché to say this but 2024 really flew by. It feels like I was just attending King Frederik’s coronation and now we’re on the cusp of 2025. My heart is so full as I reflect on the past year. Turning 40 was kind of a big deal and marking that milestone in my garden in Copenhagen surrounded by friends and family that had come from near and far to celebrate with me was just everything. I felt so honoured and cherished; I still do actually. There were also milestones throughout the year for family – my nephews turning 5 and 10 respectively – and friends – these ’84 babies have been showing out all year and it’s been a blast! Oh and don’t let me forget a huge move for one of my besties and the most gorgeous wedding celebrations at the end of the year for another. There was plenty of enjoyment and jollofication in 2024 – ah I chopped life o! It wasn’t all play though and on the professional front, I shared my professional highs and learnings in this “Dear 2024” letter in Chaud Mag.

Blog-wise, 2024 was the first in a while where I was back really writing regularly and woooo it was hard but so rewarding. Including this post, I wrote twice as many posts as I did last year and received over twice as many views on the blog. Thank you so much for reading the blog, I appreciate it so much. I’m still working hard to get back to consistently posting as I did in the pre-Denmark years but I think I’m getting there, and I had to get this last post out before the clock struck midnight!
