A challenge to living in Lagos is the chronic lateness of everything. Nothing runs on time.ย Some call it African Time or Black People Time but I just call it late. I arrived for an event that was scheduled to start at 5pm but at 7pm doors were still not openย so we were not allowed entry to the venue.ย Faced with an uncertain wait time,ย we decided to make the most of the time and do an impromptu photoshoot at a nearby construction site.
The occasion was an all-white party and I thought my Self Portrait Azaelea dress was the perfect choice for the occasion, and the pop of colour from my Drew bag.
